Founded in 2012, Digbeth Dining Club are multi-award-winning events and venue operators who have transformed the Midlands food landscape by turning some of the Midland’s most unique venues, into vibrant, street-food destinations.What do we do?
Digbeth Dining Club works with a pool of the best food traders around the UK. Every trader is vetted and tries to ensure that customers and clients not only get a wide range of options to choose from but at an affordable price too. Whether it’s Michelin-star chefs, former Masterchef finalists or even just enthusiasts with a genuine passion for food, quality will always be at the forefront of our events.
Why do we do it?
Digbeth Dining Club aims to provide a platform for the best street food traders in the UK to cook quality, locally-sourced and honest food for the people of the Midlands.
What’s the Venue?
Hockley Social Club is our flagship venue, and one of the busiest destinations in Birmingham, with thousands of visitors every week. Stretching across 10,000 square foot, we are a former printing factory turned airy industrial food hall and events space. We are open four days a week with a full programme of events, including live music every Friday and Saturday, monthly comedy nights, Sunday markets, art exhibitions, Jazz nights, talks and club nights.

What we are looking for –
- Responsible for all aspects of the operation to ensure the smooth running of the business, including financial, H&S and people targets.
- Strong knowledge and experience within an F&B setting.
- Responsible for team performance and knowledge levels on both food & drink ensuring a genuine enthusiasm for the products.
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Uphold a culture and environment where people want to work
- Work closely with the head of Operations on recruitment, training, and compliance for the venue and team members
- Rota production achieving financial targets
- Stock control and stock management with GP% achieved
- Monthly budgets and P&Ls accrual
- Teams and individuals are at the heart of everything you do
Who you are –
- Experience working in a high-turnover restaurant having led a team of 50 + heads
- Good knowledge of running bars and drink service
- local knowledge part of the community and understanding of the surrounding areas
- Events lead with knowledge of promotions and marketing
- Ability to communicate clearly and set achievable objectives
- Customer service focused
- Personal Licence Holder
- Positive and flexible attitude, with the ability to think laterally and willing to problem solve
- An openness to rolling up your sleeves and pitching in from time to time on non-designated areas of the business
- An interest in the street food industry and the wider food scene
- Passionate about working with small businesses to help make the west midlands a better place to live
