OVERVIEW:
Digbeth Dining Club (DDC) is a UK pioneer of street food based in Birmingham, West Midlands. Fiercely independent, we have spent the last 12 years delivering world class events and venues working alongside a roster of 100+ vendors. We are a growing business with a plan to bring good food and good vibes to people across the Midlands and beyond.
We are looking for a creative, organised and dynamic Social Media Executive to oversee and manage multiple channels within the DDC family. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing to deliver on-trend, compelling content for campaigns, launches, events and other shenanigans.
KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- At least one year’s experience within a social media team, within agency or in-house
- Solid understanding of all social media channels and platforms
- Demonstrable experience running successful social media accounts, ideally within the hospitality / events industry
- Organised, efficient worker with strong project management skills
- Ability to capture high-quality content, with some editing skills (e.g., Instagram reels)
- Basic design skills, using templates via Canva / Photoshop, preferred but not essential
- Strong writing skills
- Experience working with influencers

- Creative thinker and on top of the latest social media trends
- Excellent people skills, with ability to confidently liaise with staff, clients and traders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks across multiple projects
- Proactive / self-starter with lots of initiative
- An understanding and passion for events, hospitality and the wider street food scene
- Flexible worker with willingness to work some weekends and evenings
- Develop, implement and manage social media strategies across social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
- Plan, create and schedule social media content, ensuring it’s aligned to the wider marketing strategy
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing Executive to oversee the events programme, ensuring that events are launched and promoted effectively
- Manage the production of content, effectively briefing and working with graphic designers, photographers, videographers and content creators
- Capture high-quality images, videos and stories, confidently liaising with venue and event teams to coordinate content shoots
- Be responsible for community engagement, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
- Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers and/or content creators
- Monitor and report on social media performance on a weekly and monthly basis
- Stay updated with social media trends and participate in regular brainstorms
