Digbeth Dining Club (DDC) is a UK pioneer of street food based in Birmingham, West Midlands. Fiercely independent, we have spent the last 12 years delivering world class events and venues working alongside a roster of 100+ vendors. We are looking for a creative, organised and dynamic Social Media Manager to oversee and manage multiple channels within the DDC family. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing to spearhead our social media strategy and deliver on-trend, compelling content for campaigns, launches, events and other shenanigans.
This is an exciting, fast-paced role that requires frequent travel between our Head Office and flagship venue, Hockley Social Club, in addition our other venue, Herbert’s Yard in Longbridge,, and our various events across the West Midlands.
- At least three years’ experience within a social media team, within agency or in-house
- Demonstrable experience running multiple social media accounts successfully, ideally within events, hospitality or festivals
- Organised, efficient worker with strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple social media accounts
- Proven content creation skills, with ability to capture and edit high-quality photos, stories and reels
- Excellent writing skills with a talent for adapting to different tones of voice
- Strong ability to write clear, concise, and effective briefs for internal and external teams
- Skilled in building and nurturing relationships with influencers to amplify our brand voice and create engaging content
- Skilled in analysing social media performance and creating detailed reports, using insights to optimise strategies and demonstrate effectiveness
- Basic design skills, using templates via Canva / Photoshop
- Develop, implement and manage social media strategies across multiple social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
- Plan, create and schedule social media content, ensuring it’s aligned to the wider marketing strategy
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing Executive to oversee the events programme, ensuring that events are launched and promoted effectively
- Dream up fresh and creative content ideas, with a focus on video, reels and dynamic visuals
- Manage the production of content, effectively briefing and working with graphic designers, photographers, videographers and content creators
- Capture and edit high-quality images, videos and stories, confidently liaising with venue and event teams to coordinate content shoots
- Be our go-to for the latest social media trends and platform updates, keeping our content fresh, relevant and ahead of the curve
- Be responsible for community engagement, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
- Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers and/or content creators
- Monitor and report on social media performance on a weekly and monthly basis
