Rain or shine, nothing could dampen the spirits at Comedy at the Castle last month – and what a weekend it was! Digbeth Dining Club rolled up with 8 of our finest street food traders to serve up flavour-packed feasts alongside three days of sunshine, showers, and side-splitting stand-up.
Set against the magical backdrop of Warwick Castle, the atmosphere was part open-air theatre, part food festival, part full-on belly-laugh chaos. Guests came armed with camping chairs, ponchos, and big appetites – and they were rewarded with a rolling menu of top-notch food and a stellar comedy line-up to match.
Some of the UK’s biggest and boldest took to the stage, including the razor-sharp Frankie Boyle, the ever-energetic Joel Dommett, and crowd-favourites like Larry Dean and Paul Smith. Each night was packed with the kind of quick wit and raw energy that had the crowd in stitches. And yes, even the rain got a few jokes aimed its way.
On the run up to the show starting, guests could wander the grounds, refuel with mouthwatering street food, and soak up the buzzing atmosphere. From stacked burgers to global eats, sweet treats to spicy snacks – our traders brought the flavour all weekend long.
